Drawn to Yellowstone

Well, friends, the documentary is finally finished. The photo on the left was taken in the Smithsonian as we sought to get a jib shot of the gigundo Thomas Moran painting that lives there high on the wall, dwarfing the surround George Catlin paintings.

It has been a long and arduous road, but we delivered the finished product last week and now we are just waiting to get on the PBS air schedule, which should be somewhere in February. Be sure and call your local PBS station and ask for it by name: Drawn to Yellowstone.

Why? Because in addition to art, there are some very cool shots of buffalo and bears.

Drawn to Yellowstone

Well, friends, we are finally finishing 'Drawn to Yellowstone', our documentary for Wyoming PBS, after a grueling six months of shooting and editing. It's the story of the artist Thomas Moran and how his work combined with the photography of William H. Jackson to persuade Congress to make Yellowstone into the world's first national park in 1872. It's not nearly as boring as it sounds. We have action, romance, tension, and.....grizzly bears! And, of course, geysers. This is a major television production done entierely in Wyoming and most of it right here in Sheridan. Look for it on a television near you sometime in December. Call your local PBS station and ask for it by name....'Drawn to Yellowstone.' Thanks for your support.
